Everything Dragon: Dragon Memories (Meeting Rilis) - Everything Dragon

I don't remember my hatch day. Then again, I doubt anyone does. My first memory is from when I was very young. I was a small dragon, for a female & my age. Looking back, I believe that was the reason I immersed myself in magic. Anyway, my first memory is of flying. I know, it's a great first memory to have. I close my eyes now and I can still feel the wind rush across my scales as the land is a blur below me. I was white but any light had a curious rainbow effect on my scales. I was mainly ignorant of the ways of love through most of my life. The next memory I have is meeting Rilis for the first time... I saw him for the first time walking near the waterfall where I normally practice magic, he was alone as was I. I remember feeling really warm in my snout & my heart seemed to beat faster as his golden scales flashed in the sun. He looked straight at me and when his gentle blue eyes locked with mine, I felt myself black out. Next thing I remember was waking up back at home & he was there. Mother had invited him in. I searched back through everything I had learned, trying to figure out what had happened to me. However, I couldn't and so I very slowly & quietly walked where they were, trying to not draw attention to myself. It was to no avail. Rilis's eyes were immediately riveted to me and his light tenor voice made me go redder than I already was as he asked, "How are you?" I was too shy to speak and my mother chuckled. She did not know that I was ignorant of the love and mate concepts. So, she automatically assumed we were together. "Your mate here is rather charming, Krystalis," she said with a smile. I immediately turned scarlet, stuttering as I tried to tell her that we aren't mates, when Rilis puts his arm & wing around me , blushing himself, very embarrassed, saying, "Th-thank you, Lady. Could I talk to Krystalis for a moment?" My mother chuckled, winking at me and nodded, walking off. As soon as she was out of sight and earshot, I pulled away and looked at Rilis, surprised to find myself pleased but tried not to show it. "Why d-did you d-do that?" I stuttered at him. He looks back at me, surprised. "Why? Don't you want us together?"he asked. I blinked. "But I don't know you, I said slowly. "We just met." He sighs. "But, Krys, I love you," he said. I blinked again and blushed scarlet as he smiled. "B-but h-h-h-how...?" I said, stuttering really bad, still scarlet. "You're so beautiful, Krystalis," he said with a soft smile. "Feel that pounding of your heart as you look into my eyes. Krys, I can feel that you want it too. We belong together." I closed my eyes, trying to relax as I sorted through my confused feelings. When I thought about it, I realized he was right. Almost instantly, I relaxed tho the color still remained scarlet in my face. Rilis sensed the change within me and smiled, hugging me gently, wrapping his neck around mine. I relaxed completely and hugged back, smiling. "You're right, Rilis," I said softly, surprised to hear a soft purr in my voice. "I love you."
